About Corten Steel
Corten steel, also known as weathering steel or atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel, is often referred to by its trademarked name COR-TEN steel (sometimes written as Corten steel). The name COR-TEN refers to the two distinguishing properties of this type of steel, Corrosion resistance and tensile strength.Corten steel plate or sheet, is a type of alloy steel plate. When uncoated and exposed to the weather, Corten steel plates rusts, and the rust forms a protective coating on the external surface which slows the rate of future corrosion, thus preventing the steel material from acidic environments and harsh weather conditions. Note: minor rust spotting may occur on light coloured surfaces during the initial weathering in process.
Benefits and Advantage
Sustainable
Weather Resistant
Durable
Corten steel is made with sustainable materials, without sacrificing quality.
Compared to regular steel, corten steel exhibits 4 to 8 times greater resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
Built to endure, corten steel provides a dependable solution that you can rely on.
Due to the atmospheric corrosion resistance, excellent strength, durability and aesthetically-appealing appearance of corten steel plate, it is used wider and wider in varies of field.
